We’re extremely proud to announce this year’s Second Amendment Day in the Iowa Legislature will be held on February 23rd. The Iowa Firearms Coalition has organized a legislative action day in the state capitol and it’s open to any and all pro-Second Amendment advocates in Iowa.
8AM – Day begins
8:30AM – House of Representatives gavels in
9AM – Senate gavels in
10AM (approximately) – Debate begins in the House
There’s a very good chance that the House will be voting on several of our pro-gun owner bills. This is not guaranteed, but it appears likely.
IFC will be providing all Second Amendment advocates with tip sheets on how to lobby your legislators, as well as a few basic talking points to address while talking to your elected officials.
If you’re planning to join us fill out the form below, and take a second to email your legislators to let them know you’ll be in the capitol on the 23rd and want to meet with them.
Come out, meet IFC’s lobbyists and leaders, meet your fellow Second Amendment advocates, but most importantly meet your legislators and make your voice heard in the absolute best way possible, face-to-face.
This year’s Second Amendment Day will be on a Tuesday so barring any catastrophic events the legislature will be in session. Which means your legislators will be have to acknowledge the Second Amendment advocates in the capitol. So circle that date and start making arrangements to bring a truckload of friends. Once again this year’s Second Amendment Day will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd.
2/23… 2.23… .223… see what we did there? 😉 More details about what time to be in the capitol and what to expect will be released soon.
For now please fill out the form below to sign up.
See you at the capitol!
