Your efforts are needed right now to get the IFC and NRA supported bill to legalize silencers in Iowa moving forward in the Iowa Senate! We know we have identified enough votes to pass this bill in a Senate floor vote and send it to Governor Branstad for his signature.
However, in spite of all our efforts to run this bill through a friendlier committee, the Silencer/Suppressor bill (HF2381) has now been assigned to the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Robert Hogg. Senator Hogg has stated repeatedly that he does not intend to run ANY GUN BILLS through his committee.
It’s time Senator Hogg heard from you! He must be helped to understand that that Iowans want silencers legalized in Iowa as they are in 39 other states.

If you are one of Senator Hogg’s constituents in District 33 (Linn County), please make the effort call him at the Senate number (515-281-2029) or talk to him at one of his legislative forums this weekend.
