As we reported to you last week, House File 2381, the IFC and NRA-supported suppressor bill, is at risk of not receiving a hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by state Senator Robert Hogg (D-33).
Before it makes it to the Judiciary Committee though, HF 2381 pass through a subcommittee.  Right now, the bill has been assigned to a subcommittee but has not been scheduled for a hearing–and time is running out.  HF 2381 needs your action to help push it through this subcommittee, led by Senator Thomas Courtney (D-44).
In recent years, even pro-gun legislation with massive bipartisan support, like HF 2381 has right now, has failed to pass in the Senate after repeatedly dying in committee.  The IFC has been working non-stop with state Senators to ensure this does not keep happening, and that HF 2381 receives the hearing and vote the bill deserves.
Your e-mails and phone calls will make a difference!  Contact Senator Courtney and members of the Senate subcommittee right away to ensure this bill gets a hearing in time for it to be considered by the Senate Judiciary Committee.  It must be heard by the full committee byThursday.
Please also contact your state Senator and urge him or her to contact Senator Hogg and Senator Courtney and demand they schedule HF 2381 for a hearing!
