HF716 is scheduled for debate in the Iowa House! 
The debate is set for Wednesday – March 20th

HF716:
 Expands deer hunting opportunities by allowing hunters to use commonly-owned firearms chambered in modern calibers, not just straight-walled cartridges.
 Protects deer hunting with handguns and requires the DNR to apply the federal definition of a pistol. 
 Allows a person 20 years of age or less to hunt using a pistol or revolver if the person is under the direct supervision of a person who is at least 21 years of age with a valid hunting license, and has consent from a parent, guardian, or spouse who is at least 21 years of age.
