• Lewis Machine and Tool RAFFLE

    August 7, 2017

We’ve got our hands on the nearly unattainable LMT LM8MRP. This ultra high-end AR sells for more than more than $2,000 but good luck finding one, they’re sold out literally everywhere.

We’re raffling off this LMT to raise funds for the upcoming legislative session. Tickets are $10 each -OR- 3 for $25. We’re cutting off sales September 9th with a winner drawn on the 16th.

State law PROHIBITS us from selling raffle tickets online or by mail, which means all raffle transactions must be face to face. Fortunately a handful of great pro-2A businesses have stepped up and are selling the tickets in their shops around the state. Stop by any of these shops to purchase your tickets!

    Marion – Cedar Valley Outfitters
Muscatine – Mitchell Arms and Ammo
Waterloo – Eagle Center Firearms LLC
Mason City – Hart Brothers South
    Johnston – CrossRoads Shooting Sports
Sioux City – American Brothers In Arms
    Indianola – All American Exteriors
    Vinton – Tactical Creations
    Baxter – Controlled Chaos Arms

If you’ve got a business that would be willing to sell tickets let us know. The more the merrier!
  • Senate Vote on HF517 Expected This Week

    March 26, 2017

Senate Vote on HF517 Expected This Week

    Iowans-

Leadership in the Iowa Senate have pledged to bring House File 517, the Omnibus Gun Bill, to the Senate floor for debate and a vote this week. We’re expecting action sometime around mid-week, but as you can imagine nothing is ever guaranteed. We can however promise you that we’ll alert you as soon as we have a solid date and time on when a vote will take place, as well as how you can do your part to help.

If the Iowa Senate approves HF517 with no amendments the bill goes straight to the Governor’s desk. If the Senate makes any changes or amendments the bill goes back to the House who will have to vote on whether to accept or reject the changes. Obviously we’d like to get this signed into law as quickly as possible, so we’re asking you to email the Senate Republicans and urge them to pass HF517 as it’s written and without any amendments. At the bottom of this email we’ve included a list of the Senate GOP members’ email addresses. Send them quick note respectfully urging them to pass HF517 as it’s written.

    Thank You IFC Members!
IFC members are second to none. Because of your support we were able to legalize suppressors almost exactly year ago. To show our gratitude we’ve partnered with SilencerCo and Controlled Chaos Arms to give away a FREE SilencerCo Omega suppressor.

This is the easiest contest ever. Everyone that’s an active IFC member is automatically entered to win. It doesn’t matter if you’re a life member, annual member, long-time member or brand new member. You don’t need to do anything, as long as you’re an active IFC member you’re automatically entered to win.

We’ll announce the winner Saturday, April 29th, so if you’re not a member yet you’ve still got a chance to join up and win.

Annual IFC Memberships are $35 a year. We also have IFC Life Memberships available and for a short time we’re running special on life memberships. Our normal $600 life membership rate has been temporarily reduced to $400 if you sign up online and use the Coupon Code: LIFE.

Thank you members! You make what we do possible!

  • Mass Permit to Carry Recertification

    September 3, 2015
    Iowa Carry Mass Recert Day

October 10th, Big Springs Gun Range, Searsboro, Iowa.

    October 10th

    10am to 6pm

    $25 per person

    Big Springs Shooting Complex (map)

    Time to Renew

It’s been 5 years since we got Shall Issue signed into law. That means there are tens of thousands of Permits to Carry who are about to be expire. DON’T LET YOUR PERMIT EXPIRE!

We’ve made getting re-certified easy. Join us October 10th at the Big Springs Gun Range in Searsboro, Iowa. For just $25 we’ll get you re-certified and on your way in less than 60 minutes. If you can’t make it, please check out our Renewing your Iowa Permit to Carry Weapons page for more details on what you need to do to get your permit renewed.

Our goal is simple: get as many people recertified as quickly and cheaply as possible. The last thing we want is Iowans carrying around expired permits.

This event will operate on a first come, first served basis. No RSVP required.

We recommend you review the required equipment and testing requirements listed below. You will be allowed to practice before hand, but this is not the time to try to learn to shoot your carry weapon for the first time. PRACTICE!

The best part of all this is all proceeds from this event will benefit the Iowa Firearms Coalition’s political action committee. Which means you’ll be on your way to carry for another 5 years, and the money you spend on recertification will go directly towards getting pro-Second Amendment candidates elected and pro-gun owner laws passed. A win-win if there ever was such a thing.

  • Review & Preview – Week 6 of Iowa’s Legislative Session

    February 23, 2015

“That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or laborers’ cottage is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there.”

    -George Orwell, 1941

    Week 6 recap:

In the last week we’ve continued to make progress behind the scenes in the state legislature. Meetings with legislators are on going and we’re making solid gains on moving pro-Second Amendment legislation forward.

Nationally, the fight against the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) and their proposed ban on popular M855 ammunition also continues. Thousands of you have already taken advantage of our free, easy to use “Email the BATFE” tool, add your voice to the conversation to help block this latest gun control scheme.

Here in Iowa, we’ve dropped the price on our IFC lifetime memberships for a limited time ($500 now $300). This coincides with the reduced rate currently available on NRA lifetime memberships ($1,000 now $500).

For details on how to get the reduced rate for either organization visit our website. Special thanks to Controlled Chaos Arms for sponsoring this great deal!

What you need to know for week 7:

  • Popular YouTube Channel Visits IFC Long Range Shoot

    November 13, 2014

Our recent 1,200 yard Long Range Shoot was a great success. The popular YouTube firearms channel HighJak86 even came out. They shot some video of one of our members reaching out to 1,200 yards with his AI Ax .300 Win Mag. It was some impressive shooting, especially considering the conditions.

Special thanks to Lewis Machine & Tool, Controlled Chaos Arms, and Nightlong Industries for helping to make the event such a success. And thank you to the HighJak86 guys for helping spread the good word about  the event and IFC.

We plan to hold more events like this in the future, don’t miss out – make sure you’re a member. In the meantime, check our IFC MAP OF RANGES in Iowa to find your nearest shooting location.

  • IFC members reaching out at LONG range shoot.

    November 10, 2014

Here’s a few pictures from our Iowa Firearms Coalition long range shoot held on November 8th near Baxter, Iowa. “Beans out, guns out” as some like to say. Shooters were forced to deal with winds in excess of 20 mph. Participants who braved the less than idea conditions were rewarded with target opportunities out to 1,200 yards, and valuable data for their data books.

Special thanks to the guys at Lewis Machine and Tool, Controlled Chaos Arms and Nightlong Industries for making this event such a success.
