The Iowa Firearms Coalition has been invited to participate in the 2015 Dallas County Sheriff’s Shootout. This fundraiser will benefit area veterans groups, holiday food baskets, and the ‘Shop with a Cop’ program.
Shootout events will include: a Zombie 3-Gun course, Permit to Carry re-qualifications, and firearms raffles.
Despite what some folks would have you believe there are indeed good cops out there. Lots and lots of them in fact. In this case Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard is a very upfront proponent of Second Amendment rights and fully embraces law-abiding citizens who choose to exercise their right to carry. We’re proud be a part of this event!
Please join us Sunday, September 27th, at the Des Moines Rifle and Revolver Club in Van Meter.
Iowa Firearms Coalition is an entirely volunteer, grassroots, Second Amendment advocacy group. I had a great time but was surprised there were not more people in attendance. Did the full auto M-16 A1, the Zombie range and my CCW recertification. Met Sheriff Leonard as well as several Deputies and enjoyed chatting with them all.
Make a point to go next year it is well worth the time spent.
