We first noticed Rhonda Mary during the Virtual 2A Rally earlier this year. We were finally able to make our schedules collide for a recording. Listen to her story, how her past formed her present, and hopefully her future. It matters not what we look like, our sex, or our religion. What matters supremely is our inalienable human rights. These basic civil rights are for us all.
Don’t let anyone ever put themselves in a position to take from you your rights. Especially a politician claiming the ends justifies the means or they’re doing something for the ‘good’ of the community they represent… Neither is true.

What a remarkable young lady! Thinking about her comments, it strikes me that perhaps a campaign showing “the everyday gun owner”/EDC folks might be very persuasive. Unfortunately, when gun control issues are raised politically, it is often the most vocal, most visible among us who show up to protest such actions. Because they are passionate and vocal (and thank heavens they are!), but because of that, the politician’s perception of who the gun owners are in this country, is warped. They are viewed as “gun nuts” and an aberration among our otherwise “sensible society”.
I’m thinking of a campaign showing farmers, business men & women, workers in various trades, students, drivers, public sector employees, housewives & even us retirees – the frankly more typical contingent (if less visually evident) of the 100 million gun owners in this country…just a montage of people’s photos, one after the other, with of course the punchline being the thing that unites them: gun ownership and a reverence and appreciation for the 2nd amendment.
The reason I think this might be impactful is that there is too much rhetoric…too many loud voices…silence and quiet voices are, ironically, in some ways more powerful, because they are now so unusual.
Just a thought. I look forward to working with the IFC. Thank you,
