The video below contains the 2A Day at the Iowa Capitol – 2021. IFC worked with NRA-ILA, NRA Grassroots, and Turning Point USA, among other groups, to put on the 5th Annual 2A Day.

You might recognize our emcee. 😉 We had a great lineup of speakers and a special surprise as well. The Gibson Girls sang our National Anthem, Rep Eddie Andrews offered the prayer, Senator Dan Dawson, Rep Sandy Salmon, and Senator Chris Cournoyer lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and we jumped into the day!

IFC President, Dave Funk, began with his address, followed by IFC Board Member, Pete Brownell, and then NRA-ILA’s Iowa State Director, Scott Jones, offered the RARELY bestowed “NRA Distinguished Advocate” Award to IFC Board Member and Lobbyist, Richard Rogers.

Chris Lee, Director, Government Relations – State Affairs of NSSF then briefed the huge crowd about the Firearms Industry Protections Act. Rep Steven Holt and Senator Dan Dawson spoke about legislation and the vitality of the 2A. They wrapped up by letting everyone know Constitutional Carry was being introduced with full intentions of seeing it become Iowa Law.

Rep Klein showed us the stack of “Bad Bills” he’s stopped that would have crippled Iowan’s ability to lawfully practice our 2A Rights and Liberties. Rep Sandy Salmon, Senator Jeff Reichman, Senator Jim Carlin, and Rep Dean Fisher spoke to the crowd. The day finished off with the Gibson Girls showing folks how to put in a note to meet with their Legislators and a walk-through of the ifcpac.org site on each person’s electronic device.

IFC already has the dates for 2022 on the calendar. Join us on February 24th, 2022 for the next one!
