In a note, I was just sent by fellow IFC board member and chief lobbyist, Richard Rogers:  “I just spoke with Board Chair Richard Crouch. He said that he moved this BECAUSE of citizens bringing their concerns on this issue to him and the other supervisors.”

What we’re seeing is several people communicating with their supervisors in some counties and other counties proactively pledging their support in others.  I always suggest proactive governance in this realm, but, I also believe that citizens are charged with being engaged on all these issues.  Mills County’s Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 in favor of their 2A Sanctuary Resolution.  Special thanks go to:

IFC appreciates their work and perseverance in protecting the civil liberties of their constituents.  When elected officials like the Mills County Board of Supervisors stand up and make it known they seek to protect fundamental rights, the correct message is offered well beyond their county lines.  They just told you all they aren’t blinded by color, sex, or creed.  Rather, that your core rights come first, no matter what, and they wish to protect them universally.  That’s good governance, my friends.

Is your county a 2A Sanctuary?  If not, it should be.  Go HERE to find sample language to offer your local board.  As always, we’re a group of volunteers that needs your engagement and support.  Please consider volunteering and becoming a member of IFC.
