The Iowa Firearms Coalition (IFC) is actively encouraging members to contact their Senators to ensure the components of the HPA and SHORT Act remain in the final version of the budget reconciliation bill. While the Senate Parliamentarian’s ruling to remove suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and other firearms from the punitive NFA tax boondoggle looms larger, you can make your voice heard!

You can:

  • Add your name to IFC’s pre-written letter: Many organizations, like IFC, provide online platforms to easily send pre-written letters to your senators.
  • Directly contact your Senators: You can find your Senators’ contact information on their official websites or by searching “find my senator.” You can call their offices or send them an email, urging them to support the inclusion and passage of the SHORT Act in the reconciliation bill.
  • Spread the word: Encourage other gun owners to take action as well.
