NRA State Association
Iowa Firearms Coalition is proud to have earned official State Association status with the NRA, due to our continual efforts on all Second Amendment fronts.
In 2010, after the bill was signed into law by Governor Chet Culver, Iowa Carry became Iowa Firearms Coalition in order to recognize the achievement of the organization’s principle goal and its new focus on broader Second Amendment issues going forward. Later that year Iowa Firearms Coalition was also awarded the Jay M. Littlefield NRA-ILA Memorial Volunteer Organization of the Year Award. Shortly thereafter, Iowa Firearms Coalition was also awarded the prestigious honor of being an official NRA Affiliate Club.
In 2019, after nearly a decade of joint service with NRA and NRA-ILA, Iowa Firearms Coalition was awarded the top honor of becoming the sole and official NRA State Association of the National Rifle Association for the great state of Iowa. Immediately, IFC proved our value by rocketing to the top slot and receiving NRA’s Outstanding State Association Award for 2020. Atop this success was the 2021 NRA Distinguished Advocate Award bestowed upon our board member and lobbyist, Richard Rogers. IFC doubled down and was awarded NRA’s Outstanding State Association Award again in 2022.
This proud partnership between Iowa Firearms Coalition and the NRA establishes a firm foundation upon which we to continue to defend Iowan’s Second Amendment, God-given rights.
