Iowa Deer Tag Sales Have Begun
IFC welcomes you to deer hunting for the upcoming 2022-2023 seasons. Resident deer tags went on sale yesterday, August 15, 2022. Tags are available through the end of the season or until quotas are filled. A current hunting license and habitat fee are also required to participate. Buy online or head to your local license agent and get ready for adventure in the great outdoors!

- Youth Season: September 17-October 2
- Archery Season, Early Split: October 1-December 2
- Archery Season, Late Split: December 19 – January 10, 2023
- Early Muzzleloader (residents only): October 15 – 23
- Late Muzzleloader: December 19 – January 10, 2023
- Shotgun, Season 1: December 3 – 7
- Shotgun, Season 2: December 10 – 18
- Nonresident Holiday Season: December 24 – January 2, 2023
