Maybe Sen. Ernst shouldn’t have voted for that “bi-partisan Safer Communities Act” in the first place, Like Senator Grassley?? THAT would have been supporting the 2nd Amendment.
President Biden and his ATF have got to be stopped in order for freedom to survive in America.
Thank you, Senators Ernst and Grassley for your efforts in addressing the antics of what appears — to a casual observer — to be an ATF gone increasingly rogue.
The fears private firearm dealers may, justifiably, have of license confiscation resulting from minor clerical errors may be just one page in a larger catalog of ATF excesses. Reports are noteworthy, for example, of recent large-scale unannounced raids in other states of gun stores by heavily-armed federal agents demanding “to review the books” of those dealers. The June, 2023, raid of the Great Falls, Montana, dealer by both ATF and IRS agents seems to typify this new strategy:

IRS suspicion of tax filing irregularities, whether real or invented, seem to have formed the pretext for seizure of years of 4473 forms, which contain no financial data.
As we are given to understand, no constitutional or legislative provision exists for the federal administration to maintain databases of American gun owners. That being the case, it is still hard to understand a pattern of 4473 form seizures as anything other than a likely backdoor entry into establishment of such a database.
