Winchester Ammunition conducted a survey of 1600 centerfire rifle hunters and the results were published by our ally the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The study shows that 60% of hunters who use a centerfire rifle prefer that of the Armalite and Avtomat Kalashnikova.
It should come as no surprise that the two most popular platforms in the world are the tool of choice when harvesting animals for nourishment. With the modularity of the AR and the reliability of the AK, they’re both a proven and effective choice.
We’ve heard for years the left proclaiming that “AR’s aren’t for hunting!” This study proves that the most popular weapons of choice for protecting liberty and filling the freezer are that of the modern sporting rifle. Below is a quote from someone who likely in casual conversation says “I support the Second Amendment but…”
The Tampa Bay Times transcribed Nelson’s Fox & Friends appearance, where he said, in part: “I want you to know I grew up on a ranch. I have grown up with guns. I have hunted all my life. I hunt with my son still. An AR-15 is not for hunting, it’s for killing. And the question is, should this be a legal weapon in our society?”
From competition, conservation and casual use, it’s hard to beat the AR. With it being capable of hosting many calibers, from shotgun and .22 up to 45.70 and more. The ability to simply swap an upper to change calibers makes it ideal for any situation and Americans any aged(responsibly).
The AK has been used in combat since it’s inception, unlike the AR. It is an unstoppable weapon system, rain, mud, or heavy abuse won’t slow it down. They’re the only good thing that has come from Communism. The first time I was ever able to fire an AK was in Afghanistan. Who knows what that rifle had seen, killed, or saved. All I know is it was on the good guys side, it’s wood was weathered, finish was non existent but it still fired like it was brand new. No telling how accurate it was as I fired it full auto into a berm. Nonetheless, a solid choice for hunting where it’s permitted.
Here is the article from which the information was pulled.

Ambassador Brandstad voices strong support for Freedom Amendment! Flip the ballot in November and cast your vote in support of Iowa’s RKBA into the Iowa State Constitution.
Do you know that Iowa is one of only six states that do not recognize our precious Second Amendment rights in their constitutions? It may seem hard to believe, but Iowa, which adopted “shall issue” Permits to Carry Weapons in 2010 and became a “constitutional carry” state in 2021, shares that dubious distinction with California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Minnesota.
The Iowa Firearms Coalition, Iowa’s only effective gun-rights organization, has been hard at work for years to get this fixed! Amending Iowa’s Constitution is no easy task. The course is long and there are many hurdles and pitfalls along the way. But the good news is that what the IFC calls the “Freedom Amendment” has now passed two consecutive Iowa General Assemblies and the issue will be on the ballot for Iowa voters to decide on November 8, 2022.
The hard-working volunteers at Iowa Firearms Coalition will need your help as we approach November! The major anti-freedom groups are already lining up and pledging large sums of money to fight the Freedom Amendment. So, what can the citizen of Iowa do?
1. Join the Iowa Firearms Coalition and become not just a member but an active volunteer in the fight to preserve and maintain our God-given rights! IFC Membership
2. Share our posts from the Iowa Firearms Coalition to people in your network. We need digital warriors working to spread the word every single day to combat shadow banning and the social media algorithms that have severely limited the reach of our posts! IFC on Facebook
3. Consider donating to our sister organization, IFC-PAC, so we can develop targeted advertising to drown out the attacks of groups like Bloomberg’s “Everytown for Gun Safety,” which want to strip away your Second Amendment rights. IFC-PAC Donation
4. Encourage your friends and neighbors to vote in favor on the Freedom Amendment on November 8th!
In Freedom.

I just read about this on the NRA-ILA site. Trudeau’s Government Seeks Private Sector “Collection Agents” for Gun Confiscation, was the title. Apparently, Canada’s Prog Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is polling the private sector for interest in the confiscation of weapons from their fellow citizens. After all, Trudeau banned all kinds of weapons you and I use daily, and now he is trying to figure out the best way to take them from Canadians.
What kind of world do we live in these days? The Gestapo and Russia did a great job of turning their citizens against one another in the recent 100 years. Both regimes incentivized and pushed spying on one another as a means of basic survival. People who spied on neighbors were awarded for their acts. Unfortunately, that wasn’t universal. It turns out, many of the neighborhood spies were considered suspect by virtue of their desire to drop a dime on others, which usually led to their time in labor camps or the gulag as well as the people they informed upon. And, with no surprise good portions of the claims the spies made were false – spies just wanted to get somebody picked up instead of getting picked up themselves.
Dog eat dog… What a culture government’s thoughts and actions like this create… #sigh
I’m not sure why government opts to outsource their dirty work so often. Maybe they think it’ll be more likely to be carried out by people who opted into the work/contract. Or maybe they’re concerned sworn enforcement won’t do the work, as they know it is wrong. Or maybe this is a way of dangling money to toss your neighbor under the bus – this is commonly referred to as “greed” by any other name. Of this, I’m not sure.
What I can be sure of: taking from others property and possessions is wholely unethical and immoral. If you do this, you’re a thief. And if you do this backed by the power of government, you’re a thief and an oppressor.
Are you willing to be a thief? What about an oppressor? Trudeau is fishing for Canadians that wish to be both. And I find that both arrogant and disgusting. As should you. What you see going on to the North will come to your doorstep sooner than you may think. Some would argue we’re already there. Think about this concept.
What we need from you is to engage with all of our social media as frequently as possible, spread the word about the Freedom Amendment, and be sure your friends and family know it is on the BACK of the ballot. Contact your legislators and advocate in support of it. As always you can join IFC by clicking HERE.
In Liberty,
